This Gamdom guide for New Zealand is written by Tom Harris, Casino Expert. Each page is checked against Gamdom's own pages, studio pages and New Zealand official sources, and anything not published is stated as such. The byline above the footer shows when a page was published, updated and checked.
- One author: Tom Harris
- Sources named on every page
- Three dates in each byline
Tom Harris, the author of this guide
Every page of this Gamdom guide for New Zealand is written by one person: Tom Harris, Casino Expert. There are no guest writers and no other bylines, so the name under a page is always the same.
Tom writes about what a New Zealand player actually needs before opening an account, and he keeps the topics close to Gamdom itself. His pages cover four areas.
Gamdom's games: the Originals such as Crash, Mines and Plinko, third-party pokies, live tables, and game facts like RTP and max win taken from the studio pages. A good example is the Razor Shark page.
Rakeback and rewards: how the welcome boost, instant rakeback and the other reward pools work, and which conditions Gamdom has not published.
The cashier: deposits and withdrawals as Gamdom describes them, covered in the deposit guide and the Gamdom review.
New Zealand rules and help services: the Gambling Act 2003, the Department of Internal Affairs, council Class 4 policies and the free help lines, as in the Canterbury page and the lotteries page.
How a page is checked before it goes live
A page is not finished when the text is written. It is finished when each fact can be pointed back to a source that a reader could open too. The work follows the same four steps every time.
Gamdom's own pages
Terms and conditions, the FAQ, the rewards and help pages, the responsible gambling page and the cashier as Gamdom describes it. These decide what a bonus, a limit or a withdrawal rule says.
Studio pages for game facts
RTP, volatility and max win come from the studio that made the game, not from memory. If a studio offers several RTP versions, the page says so.
New Zealand official sources
The Department of Internal Affairs, legislation.govt.nz and council Class 4 gambling policies for anything about the law, venues and grants. Help services are taken from their own websites.
Nothing guessed
When Gamdom has not published a number, such as a wagering multiple or a minimum withdrawal in every coin, the page says it is not published instead of filling the gap with a guess.
What the three dates in the byline mean
The byline sits at the bottom of every page, directly above the footer. It names the author, links back to this page and shows three dates. They are easy to mix up, so here is what each one promises.
- Published
The day the page first went live. It is fixed and never changes, even after many edits.
- Updated
Changes only when the text of the page is really edited: a new fact, a corrected number, a rewritten section. Fixing a typo in a menu label does not count.
- Checked
The last day the facts on the page were compared again with the sources. A page can be checked without being updated, which simply means everything still matched.

So a recent Checked date next to an older Updated date is a good sign: the sources were read again and nothing had to change. The reverse, an Updated date later than the Checked date, should never happen, because every edit is followed by a check.
Money and currency on this site
Two currencies appear in these guides, and each one has a clear rule. It helps to know it before reading the numbers on any page, for example in the deposit guide.
- Amounts at Gamdom
- US$, as Gamdom states them
- Why US$
- The Gamdom balance is held in US dollars
- Crypto
- Shown in coin units such as BTC or ETH
- New Zealand amounts
- NZ$, for venue limits, taxes and grants
Gamdom has no New Zealand dollar wallet, so there is no NZ$ price to quote for a deposit, a bet or a withdrawal. Where a US$ figure is only an example, the page labels it as an example. Converting to NZ$ is left to your bank or your crypto exchange, because the rate changes every day.
Responsible gambling in New Zealand
Gambling is for adults only: you must be 18 or older. It should stay entertainment, paid for with money you can afford to lose. Gamdom gives players several tools in the account settings, and they are worth setting up before the first deposit rather than after a bad session.
Limits: deposit limits (daily, weekly or monthly), plus loss and wager limits.
Session reminders: a prompt that tells you how long you have been playing, so the time does not slip away.
Self-exclusion: choose 1, 5 or 8 days in your settings. For a longer break, contact Gamdom support through live chat. An exclusion is binding once it starts.
Free help in New Zealand. Call the Gambling Helpline on 0800 654 655 (gamblinghelpline.co.nz) or visit the Problem Gambling Foundation. Both services are free and confidential.
Corrections and outdated facts
Casino terms change, and a guide can fall behind. If you notice a fact that looks outdated, whether a rule at Gamdom, a New Zealand regulation or a help service, the right move is to compare it with the source the page names. Gamdom's own terms and the official New Zealand websites always take priority over this guide.
What happens after a fact is questioned
The fact is re-checked against its source. If it is wrong, the text is corrected and the Updated date changes; if it still matches, only the Checked date moves. Either way, the dates at the bottom of the page show the result. You can also return to the homepage for the current Gamdom offer overview.
Questions about this site
Who writes this guide?
Every page is written by Tom Harris, Casino Expert, the only author of the site. He covers Gamdom's games, rakeback and rewards, the cashier, and New Zealand rules and help services.
How often are the facts checked?
Each page carries a Checked date at the bottom. It is the last day the facts were compared with Gamdom's own pages, studio pages and New Zealand official sources. When a source changes, the page is re-checked and the date moves.
Why are Gamdom amounts in US$?
Gamdom has no New Zealand dollar wallet. The account balance is held in US dollars, so Gamdom amounts here are in US$, exactly as Gamdom states them, and crypto is shown in coin units. New Zealand amounts such as venue limits or taxes are in NZ$.
What do Published, Updated and Checked mean?
Published is the day a page first went live and never changes. Updated moves only when the text is really edited. Checked is the last day the facts were compared with the sources, even if nothing needed changing.
Where can I get help with gambling in New Zealand?
Call the Gambling Helpline on 0800 654 655 or visit gamblinghelpline.co.nz, or contact the Problem Gambling Foundation at pgf.nz. Gamdom also has deposit, loss and wager limits and self-exclusion in its settings.
Is this site run by Gamdom?
This guide is written by Tom Harris; Gamdom itself is operated by Moon Revolution Limitada (Costa Rica). Gamdom holds its gaming licence from the Government of the Autonomous Island of Anjouan, Union of Comoros.
